Discover two of the province’s most spectacular landscapes on our small-group trip to the two Caminitos from Málaga. In a single day, you’ll walk the route through Ronda’s Tajo Gorge, officially known as the Camino del Desfiladero del Tajo, and the iconic Caminito del Rey.
Description and itinerary
Discover two of Málaga’s most impressive experiences in one day. This trip combines the Camino del Desfiladero del Tajo in Ronda with the Caminito del Rey in the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Natural Area.
After travelling from Málaga in comfortable small-group transport, we’ll head to the white town of Ronda. There, you’ll walk the Camino del Desfiladero del Tajo, a path built within the spectacular gorge that cuts through the town.
Ronda route covers almost one kilometre through El Tajo Gorge, from the area around Plaza de María Auxiliadora to the Padre Jesús neighbourhood, near the Arab Baths. It descends to the base of the Puente Nuevo before continuing along a walkway beside the Guadalevín River.
You’ll enjoy outstanding views of the gorge, Ronda and the three bridges that cross it: Puente Nuevo, Puente Viejo and Puente Romano. You’ll also learn about the gorge’s geology and the town’s history, and see places such as Casa de Manolillo, the Hoya del Tajo viewpoints, historic irrigation channels and flour mills, the Arab Baths and the San Miguel hermitage.
After the Tajo Gorge Walkway, we’ll travel from Ronda to El Caminito del Rey. You’ll follow its trails and walkways through the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, taking in the canyons, rock formations and natural scenery along the 7.7 km route.
The route passes through places including the Gaitanejo Gorge, the Hoyo Valley and the Gran Gaitán, as well as impressive walkways and two suspension bridges.
At the end of the walk, we’ll return to Málaga.
It’s an ideal trip if you want to experience both routes in one day, with transport and admission arranged for you.
