A Complex with years of history
The La Garganta Rural Tourist Complex is a family business that has been built for many years with the efforts of the entire García family. Little by little, the old flour factory was transformed until it became the current facilities, a benchmark in rural tourism, perfectly equipped for relaxation and active tourism.
It has a design of its own elaboration, respecting the original architecture of the façade, and renovated based on recycled elements, with bricks that are over 70 years old. Materials from other buildings have also been used, such as arches with interlocking brick, beams that supported the old Málaga station, ashlars from the El Chorro station itself, old valves from the El Chorro power plant, the winch from the carbide factory from El Chorro, etc…
About us?
The La Garganta Tourist Complex is a family business that has been built for many years with the efforts of the entire García family.
Little by little, the García family has been transforming the old Santa Mariana flour factory in El Chorro, until it has become the current facilities, a benchmark in rural tourism in Malaga, perfectly equipped for relaxation and active tourism.
The building has a design of its own development, respecting the original architecture of the façade, and renovated using recycled elements, with bricks that are over 70 years old.
