INTERNAL RULES OF THE ESTABLISHMENT
In accordance with Article 25 of Decree-Law 13/2020 on Hotel Establishments (BOJA no. 27, 18 May 2020), the following internal regulations must be complied with by the establishment’s clients:
1. Art. 25 Internal Regulations:
• Hotel establishments may have an internal regime regulation establishing rules that users must comply with during their stay.
• Where applicable, the internal regulations shall specify, at a minimum, the conditions of admission, the rules of coexistence and operation, and everything that allows for and encourages the normal use of the facilities, equipment and services.
• Hotel establishment owners may request assistance from the relevant authorities to evict users who do not comply with the internal regulations, or who attempt to access or remain in the establishment for a purpose other than the normal use of the service, in accordance with the provisions of Art. 33.22 of the Tourism Act.
2. Users are obliged to pay for the room and any services they have booked upon arrival.
3. The hotel may request prior guarantee of payment by credit card or bank transfer for the contracted services, including the total amount of the reservation and any extras, in accordance with applicable legislation.
4. Accommodation reservations begin at 14:00 on the first day of the contracted period and end at 12:00 on the indicated departure date. Any changes must be agreed with Reception directly. Extending the stay beyond the period described above without prior agreement will result in an additional day’s charge. Incoming bookings will allow the cleaning service the necessary time to perform their duties properly.
5. The number of people staying in the rooms must not exceed that indicated in the reservation confirmation and, in any case, must not exceed the number stipulated for each room type and declared at check-in. In this case, any additional person may be asked to leave the hotel and/or be required to pay a supplement, in accordance with the current rates. Babies and children can stay free of charge up to the age of four. After this age, an additional charge will be applied in accordance with the current rate.
6. Room cleaning will take place between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. After this time, only towels will be changed. Likewise, clients must leave their rooms to facilitate the cleaning staff’s work and adhere to the end-of-service timetable.
7. The car park is exclusively for the use of hotel residents, from the moment the contract is signed until check-out.
8. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas, including the rooms, in accordance with Law 42/2010 of 30 December.
9. It is forbidden to bring food or drink into the hotel for consumption inside the establishment. Drinks purchased elsewhere may not be consumed in the swimming pool and, in any case, the use of glass in the pool area is strictly forbidden.

11. Access to the hotel and restaurant for people accompanied by animals is permitted, except in the swimming pool area where access with animals is strictly prohibited.
12. In accordance with Decree 10/2003, Articles 5 and 7, which approve the General Regulations for the Admission of Persons to Establishments for Public Shows and Recreational Activities, access to and presence in the establishment will be prohibited in the following cases:
• When the person has not previously registered at reception.
• When the closing time of the establishment or any of its premises has been exceeded.
• When the person seeking access does not meet the minimum age requirement established by current regulations.
• When the person seeking access has not paid the bill.
• When a person exhibits violent behaviour, such as acting aggressively, provoking altercations, causing danger or disturbance to other attendees, or failing to meet health and safety standards.
• When the person is carrying weapons or objects that could be used as such, unless they are members of the Security Forces and Corps or private bodyguards belonging to private companies and are entering the establishment in the exercise of their duties, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable specific regulations at any given time.
• When a person is consuming or has consumed drugs, narcotic or psychotropic substances, or shows obvious signs of intoxication.
• When, due to their behaviour and/or noise, they cause a disturbance to the normal running of the establishment.
• When they do not adopt cleanliness and hygiene measures or attitudes in the establishment.
• When the normal functioning and social coexistence of the establishment is jeopardised.
13.- Nevertheless, in the cases described above, the person is obliged to pay for any expenses incurred up to the point at which access to or stay in the establishment is prohibited.
14. It is not possible to reserve the services of the establishment or the accommodation units against the stipulated price.
15.- Circulation and stay within the establishment will be permitted in areas designated for clients. Clients will not be permitted to access private or reserved rooms or spaces at any time. Appropriate attire must be worn at all times.
16. Access to the restaurant, dining rooms and terraces of the establishment is not permitted in dirty clothes, swimming costumes or partial dress.
17. The use of sun loungers by the swimming pool is free of charge and cannot be reserved. Hotel staff may remove sun loungers that have not been used for at least 30 consecutive minutes, provided there are other guests waiting to use them, and transfer any personal belongings to reception. The same applies to tables and chairs in any of the establishment’s common areas.
18. The hotel is only responsible for valuables if they are stored in the safe in accordance with the conditions of use. The hotel is not responsible for theft or loss of personal belongings not deposited in the safe.
19. Safety regulations prohibit the use of objects and/or equipment that could cause a fire.
20. If you have been given an identification card at reception, it accredits you as a guest of the establishment. Carry it with you at all times when you are in the hotel.
21. If you do not wish your room to be cleaned, please inform reception. Rooms cannot remain untidy and uncleaned by the hotel staff for two consecutive days.
22. It is forbidden to use the towels and other garments in the room outside the hotel. The establishment provides guests with towels for use at the swimming pool and solarium only, subject to a 10€ deposit per towel, which will be returned when the towels are returned. In case of loss or damage, the deposit will not be returned to the client.
23. In the event of loss or damage to remote controls for televisions or air conditioning units in the room, the replacement cost will be charged to the credit card used for the booking deposit.
24. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the hotel during their stay. If you notice any damage or breakages in your room on the first day of your stay, please inform reception so that it cannot be attributed to you.
25. The use of musical instruments and music players is forbidden in all hotel facilities, except with the express authorisation of Management.
26. The management of the establishment recommends the following:
• Keep an eye on your luggage and keep it under control. Do not leave it unattended.
• Close the door to your room when you leave it and make sure it is properly locked.
• Keep the door closed when you are in the room.
• Lock your luggage when not in use and put it in your locker.
• Keep your room key safe. To avoid loss or theft, it is advisable to leave it at reception when you leave.
• Immediately notify the hotel management of any unusual occurrences, such as seeing suspicious people in the corridor, receiving repeated telephone calls from people who do not identify themselves, hearing knocks on your room door from people you do not know or finding that no one is there when you go to open the door.
• Do not be upset if you are asked to identify yourself at reception. This is for your own safety and that of everyone else.
• Do not display jewellery, money or valuables in your room.
• Do not invite strangers to your room or tell them your room number. You are responsible for anyone accompanying you.
• Do not allow repair personnel to enter your room without a request or authorisation from the hotel management.
• Do not allow people to enter your room with deliveries that have not been requested.
• If you have any queries or requirements, please ask at reception. We will be pleased to help.
27. The hotel’s coexistence habits are as follows:
• Smoke-free area: This hotel is smoke-free, so smoking is prohibited throughout the establishment, including in all rooms.
• Stays with pets: La Garganta loves nature and animals, which is why certain rooms are pág. 5 available for guests with dogs, provided they comply with the coexistence rules.
• Lost property: After the end of the stay, items found in the rooms and/or other areas of the hotel will be recorded in an inventory and kept in a communal storage area. These items will be available to guests for a maximum period of 90 days. If the client requests that an item be sent to them, they must pay the transport cost in advance. Perishable goods not claimed will be destroyed the day after they are found.
• Silence must be observed in the corridors and common areas from 22:00 until 08:00 in order not to disturb the other guests.
28. In line with the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism developed by the UNWTO, the tourism companies and services of the Caminito del Rey Destination recognise the fundamental role they play in the territory’s economic, social and environmental development. They are therefore committed to:
• Respecting and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals, especially the specific rights of the most vulnerable population groups. They undertake to promote tolerance, gender equality, and the respectful inclusion of all people, improving the accessibility of their facilities and services, and enhancing the identity and culture of the area.
• Protecting the environment and natural resources of the destination in a way that meets current needs without endangering the aspirations of future generations. Tourism activities and related infrastructure must be designed with the protection of natural heritage, preservation of resources and control of pollution in mind.
• Prioritise hiring local staff and suppliers on an equal footing.
• Incorporate the values and standards of this Code into the management of your establishment or service. Inform the Caminito del Rey Destination Manager of the measures you have adopted to put the principles of this Code into practice.
• Provide visitors with objective and truthful information about destinations and travel conditions. Cooperate with public authorities to ensure visitor safety and prevent hostile behaviour. Act with respect and tolerance, rejecting any kind of racist or xenophobic behaviour. • Guarantee the fundamental rights of workers by ensuring sufficient social protection and avoiding precarious employment. Ensure at all times that employees receive a decent salary that does not discriminate between men and women, and provide the necessary training to enhance their employability.
• Make employees aware of the importance of preserving the local cultural and natural heritage, and of learning to understand and respect the culture of our visitors.
• Disseminate the content of this code to employees and clients in a way that encourages the adoption of these values and commitments. Visitors have a great responsibility in the development of sustainable tourism. Therefore, companies and tourist services at the Caminito del Rey destination remind visitors to:
• Respect human rights, bearing in mind the equal dignity of all people.
• Contribute to the fulfilment of the values of this Code, ensuring that tourism is conducted in an atmosphere of tolerance and hospitality, and becomes a shared experience.
29. Code of Conduct for Responsible Tourism:
• Respect the traditions and culture of the villages that make up the Caminito del Rey destination, recognising their diversity and richness.
•Help preserve the natural environment and protect the flora, wildlife and their habitats, bearing in mind the impact of your actions on this heritage and your responsibility to protect it.
• Support the local economy by purchasing products and services from the area. Responsible consumption allows for the sustainability of tourist activity and the resources that make it possible.
• Avoid any behaviour that could damage the resources and livelihoods of the local population or damage the image and reputation of tourism in the area.
• Avoid and reject any kind of intolerant, racist or xenophobic behaviour arising from differences in religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, culture or language, whether in relation to other tourists, staff of tourism companies or members of the local community.
