Malaga is one of the cities of culture, largely thanks to its extensive network of museums. With up to 40 museums, it is one of the best cities to learn and enjoy at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Picasso Museum Malaga<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Picasso Museum in Malaga is focused on the work of Picasso. We could not forget the great artist who has given us the best Spanish works and sculptures.<\/span><\/p>\n

With more than 200 works, it collects the innovative ideas and works of Pablo Picasso, as well as showing us the different styles the artist went through.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can enjoy this museum every day of the week, from November to February from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., from March to June from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., from July to August from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and finally from September to October from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Except for some days with special hours or when it remains closed, such as December 25 and January 1 and 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

Malaga Thyssen Museum<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Thyssen Museum in Malaga, takes us on a tour of the different artistic genres that were present in Spain during the 19th and 20th centuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Thyssen museum is located in the center of the city, in Plaza Carmen Thyssen – C\/Compa\u00f1\u00eda, 10 and its doors are open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. except special days such as the 24th and 31st. December that opens from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on December 25 and January 1 and 6 it remains closed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The entrance to enjoy his wonderful works has a cost of \u20ac10 with special and reduced rates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Collection of the Russian museum Malaga<\/span><\/h2>\n

It is not necessary to leave Malaga to enjoy the best works of the State Museum of Russian Art in Saint Petersburg. It is the first European branch of the Russian institution where you can enjoy impressive exhibitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can visit it in La Tabacalera, the former Royal Tobacco Factory of Malaga, next to La Misericordia beach.<\/span><\/p>\n

Museum of Glass and Crystal Malaga<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Museum of Glass and Crystal in Malaga shows us around 3,000 pieces of glass from different periods, it is a museum of decorative arts.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can visit this museum every day, except Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., except on December 24 and 31, when its hours change to 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on December 25, 1 and January 6 that remains closed.<\/span><\/p>\n

General admission costs \u20ac7 with special and reduced rates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ardales Prehistory Interpretation Center<\/span><\/h2>\n

The <\/span>Ardales History Interpretation Center<\/span><\/a> is a perfect space for history lovers. It is an exhibition with the oldest collections of human pieces found in Ardales and its surroundings since 1981.<\/span><\/p>\n

This museum is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, and is located in Ardales, very close to El Chorro where there are different activities for those who seek to enjoy nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Antequera area is also recognized for its museum activity. It has recently been confirmed that the <\/span>Antequera Dolmens Museum<\/span><\/strong> was scheduled to open at the end of 2021 with temporary exhibitions and future guided tours.<\/span><\/p>\n

When are Malaga museums free<\/span><\/h2>\n

Malaga not only has a multitude of museums, but also offers us free options to enjoy culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most museums can be visited for free on International Museum Day, May 18, and International Tourism Day, September 27.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, some of our museums have free admission on Sundays, such as the Gold Museum, the Alley of Exhibitions or the Pompidou Center from 4:00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

If this were not enough, there are even free museums every day such as the historic San Miguel Cemetery, the Roman Theater or even the MUPAM, the Municipal Heritage Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n
