La Garganta was born out of the restoration of an old flour mill in the heart of El Chorro. Since then, every decision has been guided by the same philosophy: to use resources responsibly, respect the landscape, and give back to the environment a portion of all that it offers us.<\/p>\n

    That\u2019s why we\u2019ve conducted a comprehensive analysis of our carbon footprint to identify the main sources of emissions and design a roadmap capable of generating real, measurable improvements.<\/p>\n

    122.35 metric tons of CO2 equivalent analyzed to develop a data-driven reduction plan.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Category 1<\/h4>

    Direct GHG emissions and removals [61.22%]. This includes fuel consumption from stationary sources and vehicles owned by the complex, as well as fugitive emissions resulting from the recharging of refrigerants in air-conditioning equipment. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Category 2<\/h4>

    Indirect emissions from imported energy [0%]. This refers to the emissions associated with the electricity consumption of the utility company throughout the year 2025 at the hotel’s facilities. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Category 3<\/h4>

    Indirect emissions from transportation [0.05%]. This includes employee commutes (assessed through a mobility survey covering 224 workdays) and logistics transportation by suppliers. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Category 4<\/h4>

    Indirect emissions from products used by the organization [38.73%]. This is one of the most critical categories, calculated using physical and monetary factors, and includes the carbon footprint of catering services, the purchase of materials, and the consumption of drinking water from the municipal water system. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
